Several WiTEC Co-ordinators across Europe have worked on Student placement programmes for women in SET, providing grants for female undergraduates, postgraduates and recent graduates who want to gain work experience in a scientific, technological or engineering field in Europe. WiTEC informs students about placement vacancies in Europe, allocates grants and monitors students whilst on placement. Student placement programmes have proved to be successful in providing females with practical work experience in a SET industry which gives many the confidence to take up employment in SET upon finishing their studies.
