The main aim of the
JASS Research was to gain a greater understanding of
the ideal conditions for women to set up their own
businesses in SET. Women who had successfully established
their own business in SET completed questionnaires
to provide information regarding the conditions they
felt necessary to start up in business and to highlight
any barriers they had faced. In addition, women students
in SET completed questionnaires to gauge their interest
in setting up in business following their course.
The project investigated the reasons why fewer women
decide to establish their own business in non traditional
fields of employment. The results of the project formed
a report which is used to help improve the self-employment
prospects for women entrepreneurs by providing information
and advice on good practice |
